The Company

The Role

This is a rare opportunity to combine high‑impact ESG work with an exceptional lifestyle in Byron Bay, within a team that values authenticity, autonomy and purpose.
You will work directly with senior client stakeholders including C‑suite to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of complex ESG and climate engagements, ensuring outputs are methodologically robust, regulator‑ready and commercially relevant. You will also play a key role in business development, supporting proposals, pitches and the shaping of new ESG offerings as mandatory climate reporting accelerates for mid-sized businesses.

In addition you will:

• Help shape Cool Planet’s ESG propositions in line with emerging regulation and market demand.
• Contribute to internal capability uplift through knowledge sharing, mentoring and methodology development.
• Strengthen client relationships, support account growth and ensure timely, high‑quality project delivery.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, running workshops, briefings and complex stakeholder discussions.

About You

You are a senior ESG professional who operates with confidence and credibility at the C-suite level - and knows how to get results without close supervision. You think commercially, can support pitches and shape proposals, and you understand that sustainability only lands when it makes business sense. You thrive in flexible, informal environments where outcomes matter more than process. You are self-starting, dependable, and bring the kind of maturity that earns trust quickly.

Essential Skills and Proficiencies

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in sustainability, ESG, climate or related advisory.
• Deep carbon expertise - including carbon strategy and decarbonisation implementation.
• Experience with materiality assessments and ESG strategy development.
• Exposure to mandatory climate reporting.
• Strong stakeholder facilitation and communication skills.
• Experience supporting business development and complex proposal generation.
