Shape the sustainability agenda of an Australian icon

Zip Water is the name behind the world's most advanced drinking water systems, from the iconic HydroTap to instant boiling, chilled and sparkling solutions found in workplaces and homes across the globe. As part of Culligan International, the world's largest water treatment company, Zip combines Australian manufacturing heritage with global scale and a genuine commitment to considering sustainability in all that it does. With mandatory climate reporting reshaping corporate Australia, Zip Water is investing in its ESG capability, and this newly shaped role sits at the heart of that commitment.

About the role
This opportunity is initially offered as a 6-month contract at 3 days per week, with flexible arrangements of 2 days in Zip's Condell Park headquarters and 1 day from home. Ample car parking is available onsite. The ESG Specialist will play a critical role in advancing Zip Water's ESG strategy across the ANZ region, deploying initiatives that reduce environmental impact while ensuring alignment with global commitments, regulatory requirements and business strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning, coordinating and continuously improving Zip Water's sustainability programs, spanning circularity, emissions reduction, sustainable product initiatives and community impact
  • Contributing to ESG reporting and disclosures across mandatory and voluntary requirements, including climate-related financial disclosures aligned with ISSB and AASB S2 standards,
  • Leading ESG data collection and management, including annual carbon emissions reporting, validation, analysis and identification of reduction opportunities
  • Coordinating internal audit and external assurance processes, and driving improvements in data quality, systems and controls using platforms such as Watershed
  • Monitoring emerging ESG regulations and providing input and analysis for Zip Water's annual ESG Report and broader sustainability communications
About you
You are a proactive, detail-oriented sustainability professional who can influence and drive outcomes across an organisation without direct authority. You will bring:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in ESG reporting, sustainability or corporate responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience implementing sustainability programs across organisations
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, including ISSB, GRI, and AASB S2
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders from the shop floor to the leadership team
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills; experience with carbon accounting
Why Zip Water
This is an opportunity to own meaningful sustainability outcomes inside a business with real manufacturing operations, global backing and a product story Australians know and trust. You will work at the sharp end of Australia's new climate disclosure regime, build capability across an entire organisation, and see the tangible impact of your work in emissions, circularity and product outcomes. The part-time, flexible structure also makes this an ideal fit for an experienced practitioner balancing a portfolio career, consulting work or other commitments.
