Meet the Talent Nation Team
Richard Evans – Managing Director
Richard is the Managing Director of Talent Nation. Having commenced his career in forestry, he moved to the UK and developed the Civil Engineering & Water division within the Central London office of one of the UK’s leading recruitment companies. Back in Melbourne he worked for several years in finance and human capital management, establishing the largest outsourced recruitment function in Australia, before specialising in Environment and Sustainability recruitment.
As a Non-Executive Director with the Banksia Environmental Foundation Richard is an active supporter of a number of sustainability initiatives, and jointly established a sustainability forum for many of the country’s leading sustainability thinkers to meet. He is a contributor to carbon and environment course curricula and is an Alum of the Centre for Sustainability Leadership.
Richard holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School, a Master of Engineering in Management, and a Bachelor of Forestry Science from the University of Canterbury.
Maxine Bazeley – Principal Consultant
Maxine began recruiting in 2007 working for a small technical recruitment firm in London. Coming back to her Architectural studies at Deakin, she quickly established herself within the industry before returning home to Melbourne in 2009.
Maxine then joined Melbourne based technical recruitment firm Aspect Personnel to manage the specialist building services desk for almost 7 years. She has a reputation with candidates and clients alike as a consultant with exceptional industry knowledge and high integrity and transparency with particular expertise in difficult to fill roles. Her success comes from her ability to understand clients’ requirements, particularly around culture and methods to recruit with retention in mind.
Maxine has an instinctive ability in identifying talent and having just completed the Centre for Sustainability Leadership Fellowship program, her network now extends to a broad range of people with purpose.
With involvement with the NAWIC and the Property Council of Australian mentoring programs as a mentor and a mentee Maxine also attends purpose, sustainability, property and workplace industry events with organisations like CoreNet, AIRAH, Property Council and Sustainability Drinks.
Outside of work she volunteers with Surf Coast Energy Group and at community radio station 106.7 PBS fm presenting a monthly show. She is passionate about the environment and positive social change.
Kate Faulkner – Consultant
Kate Faulkner brings over four years of Executive recruitment experience, hailing from a premier technology solutions provider that designed, implemented and maintained converged communication networks for enterprise customers across the USA. As a full service Recruiter, she successfully built up sales and technical networks in unified communications, data infrastructure, managed services and visual communications. Kate moved from Boston to Melbourne, joining Talent Nation to help grow purpose driven organisations.
She holds a Bachelors of Sociology from Suffolk University in Boston, MA, graduating Cum Laude.
Georgia Castricum – Engagement Advisor
Georgia Castricum joined the Talent Nation team as Engagement Advisor in 2015. Having assisted in the start-up of a newly established Melbourne Law Firm, Georgia joined the Talent Nation team in a marketing and administrative capacity. Georgia supports Talent Nation’s mission of making a positive social & environmental impact by managing social media, creating thought provoking content and sharing best practices out to our network. Georgia also maintains the candidate database and performs general administration duties.
Georgia holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne with majors in Media Communication and Creative Writing. She is currently completing her Postgraduate Certificate of Publishing and Communications (Advanced) at the University of Melbourne.
