In February 2014 Talent Nation became the first recruitment company in Australia to achieve Certified B Corporation status as one of the 42 Founding B Corps in Australia & New Zealand.
This meant that we joined an emerging group of companies harnessing the power of business to solve social and environmental problems by meeting higher standards of transparency, accountability, and performance.
But a lot can change in a few years!
Almost two years on, we were required to demonstrate that through all our changes (a new location, additional staff, business growth) we are continuing in our commitment to meet the rigorous standards of social and environmental performance that the certification demands.
We were re-evaluated on our performance across environmental, social and governance metrics as well as employee benefits, environmental practices, and community engagement.
The recertification process was comprehensive and detailed; it involved the resubmission of our B Impact Assessment, an onsite review by the U.S Standards team and regular communication with the International and Australian B Lab teams.
Through these efforts we were pleased to discover that although hard work, the recertification process only emphasied the value we place on our B Corp Certification. It reaffirmed the movement’s alignment with our core values and how hard we are willing to work to maintain our status as a company using business as a force for good.
We are delighted and very proud to be members of the B Corp Community. Today, there are almost 1,500 Certified B Corps in 42 countries and 130 industries working together toward one unifying goal: to redefine success in business. You can learn more about the movement here: www.bcorporation.com.au
